You might see this little guy around PJ

These painted rocks are part of the Sooke to Sidney Rock Hunt where Victoria-area residents paint, hide, and discover these unique treasures.
We are painting rocks to hide around our towns, beaches, businesses, parks, trees and benches, from Sooke to Sidney and everywhere in between! The hope is to brighten someone’s day in a small way and bring a bit of extra colour to our sometimes very dark world!

This particular rock, painted as Cub Scout, was given to Camp Chief Bill Schulte to join in the adventure at Pacific Jamboree 2019.

People in the greater Victoria area are encouraged to join in on the rock hunt by taking photos of the rocks they find and even keeping one they enjoy. But like all treasure hunts, the locations of the rocks are kept a secret!
Photos may be posted with an idea of where the rocks are hidden, and then the treasure hunt begins! You can choose to keep a rock that inspires you or makes you smile, or you can re-hide it somewhere else, or exchange it for one of your own!
