I walked into the STEM compound this afternoon, and it was a hive of activity. All the tents were busy. 1st Airdrie was in the Space Exploration tent. Others were in Virtual Reality, Robotics or the Escape Room tent. The youth in every tent were excited to be learning in a way that spoke to them.
I had a long talk with the STEM section chief, Raymond, an OOS from Kelowna. He feels that we can teach youth to use electronics in cooperation, to bring people together instead of dividing them. STEM has something for everyone. Check it out!
