Two of us checked out the waterfront this morning. There were 10 canoes in the lake, plus 3 patrols swimming. The swimmers, from 1st Coquitlam and 47th Windsor, were part of a 3 event round robin – swimming, axe throwing and the dunk tank. In the swimming area there were 4 lifeguards, and the non-swimmers were in PFDs.
The canoes held Scouters and youth from 1st and 6th Centre Lake in Burnaby, 3rd Douglas from Victoria and 1st Valleyview from Kamloops. All were excited to be there. Many came in for a drink and went right back out.
